Further Optional Devices
STORAGE FEEDER
This device recalls the yarn from the cone and stores it on a small drum placed just above the feeding point. The yarn is then delivered to the knitting head with constant and adjustable tension, eliminating in this way, all the tension irregularities originated by the cones. Consequently, the sizes are more constant and it will be possible knitting yarns having low resistance.
AST/C ANTI-JERK DEVICE
This device stops the machine when the yarn is pulling from the cone The device is built in a way that the machine must not be re-threaded after the stop.
ANTI-TWIST DEVICE
This device is useful when producing long pantyhose. The machine will deliver the socks with no twist and with no wrinkles.
ANTI-TWIST DEVICE FOR Rimaglio
Same as above but in the version that can fit on machines equipped with Rimaglio device.
2-FEED MESH DEVICE
The machine is provided with an extra actuator that enables a production of mesh patterns in two feeds.
The standard machine will produce such mesh patterns in one feed only.
This option is recommended in case the machine will be used for the production of pantyhose.
Knitting in two feeds will shorten the production time without losing the possibility of mesh patterns that are commonly used in the pantyhose.
Mesh is also called "filet stitch".
SOCK EJECTION WITHOUT RE-TURNING (Rimaglio MACHINES)
This device can be installed on the machines with Rimaglio device and enables the machine to eject the sock without the second re-turning. In other words, the sock is ejected turned inside-out. This is normally requested for an easier inspection of the socks. See video.
CLAMP FOR BARE LYCRA
This device is required for clamping the bare lycra after it has been cut. Please note that bare lycra also requires the Ultrafeeder device.
PREPARATION FOR STORAGE FEEDERS
This is an electronic board that enables the function of the storage feeders.
PREPARATION FOR BTSR SENSORS
This is an electronic board that enables the machine CPU to communicate with BTSR yarn flow sensors and/or the AST/C anti-jerk device.
TURNING DEVICE FOR FOOTIE SOCKS
The turning device normally fitted on the machine will not function correctly with the footie socks. This device must be added onto the standard standard turning device in order to enable the machine sewing the footie socks.
MICRO-TERRY DEVICE
Through this special device, it is possible to knit a very low type of terry.
SECOND ELASTIC COLOUR
The second elastic colour is a standard in 4" machines. It is an optional device on all the other diameters.
SUCTION FAN & FILTER
The suction fan is necessary to keep in tension the sock, to eject it from the machine after it is completed and to suck the waste of yarns (which goes into the filter). These units must be necessarily equipped on the machine in case your customer has not a centralized vacuum unit.
3D KIT
Through this special device, it is possible to knit socks (usually for children) and have 3 dimensional effects, like noses or ears.
KIT FOR MITTENS
This kit enables the machine to knit mittens.
KIT FOR DIFFERENT COLOUR HEEL AND TOE
This option enables the machine to drive two or more heel take-ups indipendently.
(Two independent heel take-ups for machines without terry and three independent heel take-ups for the machines with terry).
(Two independent heel take-ups for machines without terry and three independent heel take-ups for the machines with terry).
FOOTIE KIT
This kit enables the machine to knit footie socks.
The footie kit enables the machine switching from the sock to the footie without any mechanical change.

ULTRAFEEDER BTSR
This device recalls the yarn from the cone and stores a few coils of it on a small drum placed just above the feeding point. The yarn is then delivered to the knitting head with a very precise, constant and adjustable tension , eliminating in this way, all the tension irregularities originated by the cones. The feeding tension is constantly measured by a sensor that, in case of alterations, send a feed-back signal to the feeding motor that will change the feeding parameters in order to keep constant the feeding tension.
The feeding tension can be graduated during knitting sending signals from an electronic board (Ultrafeeder preparation) to the Ultrafeeders through a serial line. This device is indispensable for feeding bare lycra.

BTSR YARN FLOW SENSORS
This device consists in a number of sensors that electronically detect when the yarn is flowing and when the yarn is steady. During the production of the first sock, information about the yarn flow is stored into a memory on an electronic board (BTSR preparation). During the production of all the following socks, the device checks that the yarns flow with the same sequence as the first one. In case of errors, the machine stops avoiding the production of second choice socks.
STRIPER WITH 8 FINGER OPTION
This device, which increases the striping capabilities, applies to 5" machines only. This model, in fact, has, as a standard, 6 fingers. The fingers of the striper with 8 fingers have a smaller guiding hole than the standard ones. Therefore, this device is not recommended below 84 needles
SPLIT REINFORCEMENT
This device can be installed only on machines without terry and it enables knitting socks with a reinforcing yarn in the sole/high heel areas.
The reinforcing yarn will be plated to the inside of the sock. It will also be possible adding a pattern on the reinforced area.

PYF WHEEL
This device is necessary for feeding the elastic yarns without putting any radial pressure on the elastic yarn itself. They are normally used in the MEDICAL and MEDICAL TERRY machines.
UPGRADE TO 2-feed machine
The 2-feed machine guarantees higher productivity (approx. +20%) than the 1 feed machine (in case of socks without patterns).
