Busi Giovanni S.r.l introduces a revolutionary new device: the Rimaglio. This accessory enables a typical classic linking to be made directly in the machine in a wholly automatic manner. The automated device is placed at the side of the knitting machine, it downloads the sock from the knitting machine after it has completed the knitting operation and transfers  it to the Rimaglio device where it is sewn loop by loop.

The sock is turned inside out so that the linking remains on the inside of the sock resulting in a traditional-looking link.

After being sewn, the sock, already turned inside out, is removed from the machine and it is ready for the next boarding  operation.

 Of note:

 ·         The machine uses standard latch needles, like normal machines;

·         The presence of the linking device in no way alters the features of the knitting machines on which it is placed;

  • The quality of the sock is in no way altered as the device begins operations after the sock has been completed and, therefore, it does not change its features;
  • The sock starts from the welt and there is no limit to either the number of articles  that can be knitted  nor the speed the machine can run;
  • The cylinder is the same used on normal machines without  the device;
  • The linking operation takes place at the same time as the knitting machine knits a new sock, therefore there is no dead  time and production is continuous;
  • The Rimaglio device can be attached to any of the machines made by Busi Giovanni Srl;
  • The Rimaglio device can be added to any of our machines at a later time (as a retrofit). No modifications to the knitting machine are needed when installing the linking device.

  • The Rimaglio device is fully automatic thereby guaranteeing a higher quality standard.
  • The Rimaglio device eliminates a stage of work that is repetitive and exhausting and places much strain on the eyesight of employees handling linking or hand-sewing duties.
